FAQ
Salesforce-specific. No fluff.
Does Fairview require Salesforce admin access?
Yes. Connecting Fairview requires a Salesforce admin to create a Connected App and authorise the OAuth flow. Once connected, any user can view the pipeline intelligence in Fairview. Setup takes approximately 5 minutes.
What Salesforce edition do I need?
Salesforce Professional edition or higher is required. Enterprise and Unlimited editions are fully supported. Salesforce Essentials does not provide the API access required for Fairview to read Opportunity data.
Does Fairview write anything back to Salesforce?
No. Fairview is read-only. It reads your Opportunity and account data to power pipeline health monitoring, forecast confidence, and next-best actions. Nothing is ever written back to your CRM.
Can Fairview read my custom Salesforce fields?
Yes. After connecting, Fairview includes a field-mapping step where you select which custom Opportunity fields to include. Standard fields (Stage, Amount, Close Date, Owner) are mapped automatically.
How often does Fairview sync with Salesforce?
Daily by default. Fairview pulls the latest Opportunity data, stage changes, and activity dates overnight so your pipeline view is current every Monday morning. The Scale plan offers more frequent syncs.
What happens to my Salesforce data in Fairview?
Fairview reads Opportunity records to calculate weighted pipeline, flag stalled deals, and build forecast confidence scores. Your data is encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.3). Fairview never shares your CRM data with third parties.
