Does Fairview require Meta Pixel to connect?

No — Fairview connects to Meta Ads and pulls spend, impressions, and CPM data regardless. However, conversion data (which campaigns drove purchases) requires Meta Pixel installed on your site. Without it, Fairview pairs ad spend with revenue from Stripe or Shopify via UTM parameters.

How does iOS 14+ affect the data?

iOS 14+ attribution limitations apply across all Meta Ads data — this is a Meta platform constraint that affects everyone using Meta Ads, not specific to Fairview. Fairview surfaces the data Meta provides. For margin calculation, Fairview uses Stripe or Shopify revenue data directly, which is not subject to iOS attribution limits.

Does this integration cover Instagram ads too?

Yes. Meta Ads Manager covers both Facebook and Instagram campaigns. When you connect your Meta Business account to Fairview, spend and performance data from both Facebook and Instagram campaigns are included automatically.

Do I need a Meta Business account?

Yes. Fairview connects via Meta Business account OAuth. Personal ad accounts are not supported. If you manage ads for a client, you need access to their Meta Business account, or the client needs to grant you Business account access.

Why does Meta ROAS look fine but my margin is below threshold?

Meta ROAS is calculated as revenue attributed to ads divided by ad spend. It does not include COGS, fulfilment costs, or operating expenses. A campaign can show 350% ROAS and still deliver negative contribution margin if your COGS is high. Fairview shows you the real number by combining Meta spend with your actual cost data from Xero or QuickBooks.

Does Fairview write anything back to Meta Ads?

No. Fairview is read-only. It reads spend, impressions, CPM, and conversion data from your Meta Business account. It never pauses campaigns, adjusts budgets, or modifies any settings in Meta Ads Manager.
